Leon Adams died 23 years after he was attacked near Grangetown railway station, Cardiff, in the early hours of 14 February 2002.
THe attack left him a quadriplegic after having been in a coma for two years.
He later died from septicaemia with a contributory factor of acute kidney injuries and spastic tetraplegia due to traumatic brain injury which was said could have been caused by the injuries he recieved in the attack.
