James Akinwande was stabbed to death outside the Vox nightclub in Brighton Terrace, Brixton at about 4.45am on 16 January 1994.
He had been chased, beaten and stabbed by a large group of men following fights in the club earlier on.
He had been wearing a red and blue Fila jacket at the time and the police appealed for people that recalled seeing him on the night to come forward.
He had been attacked near the Boots Chemist in Brixton Road and Brighton Terrace.
