Anthony Whymark

Anthony Whymark was found dead in a burned out car, however, it was determined that he was dead before the car was set on fire.

He had lived in a caravan at Woodfield Cottages, Rushy Green, Ringmer.

He died from exhaust fumes, and a length of green plastic hose was found running from the exhaust of his car to near the front passengers door.

His Morris Marina estate car had been parked a few yards from the South Downs Way footpath.

He had run a pet shop until 1983 when he sold it. He had lived in a flat above the shop but gave that up when he sold the shop and moved into a caravan and became unemployed.

An open verdict was returned at his inquest.
