A man was found dead near the River Sence off Bridgwater Drive in Great Glen, Leicestershire on 20 April 2021.
The police were called out to the scene at about 2.30pm following reports of gun shots or loud bangs being heard. His body was found close to the river.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police said they were treating his death as unexplained.
