Nagiib Maxamed

Nagiib Maxamed died after being assaulted outside the Atesh restaurant and bar in Grafton Gate East on Monday 27 December 2021.

He died in the early hours of the following morning at about 1.30am, Tuesday 28 December 2021.

Another man in his twenties was also taken to hospital but discharged.

It was said that an altercation at the bar started inside and then moved to an outdoor smoking area.

Five people were arrested following his murder:

1. 25-year-old man.
2. 29-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
3. 34-year-old woman, arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
4. 21-year-old man.
5. 21-year-old man.

However, they were all released on bail and nothing more is known.

Nagiib Maxamed's father later appealed for more people that had been at the nightclub to come forward, noting that some had already, but that it was known that there were more that hadn't.

Nagiib Maxamed had been from Milton Keynes.

Following Nagiib Maxamed's murder, the Atesh restaurant and bar had its licence suspended.
