Martin Howells died after being attacked with a machete in East Park Way, Wolverhampton, on 20 August 2021. He later died on 18 September 2021.
An 18-year-old man was arrested shortly after on suspicion of murder but nothing more is known. A 30-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Martin Howells had been attacked in East Park Way near St Matthews Church at about 11.30am on Friday 20 August 2021. He had been able to walk home, however, shortly after he fell into a coma from which he didn't recover and he died on 18 September 2021.
He died from head injuries.
