Sukhdev Singh

Sukhdev Singh died following a disturbance in Treviscoe Close, Exhall on Thursday 20 May 2021.

The disturbance occurred at about 8.45am and an air ambulance was called out but he died at the scene.

It was thought that a fight broke out over a parking row, due to an ongoing issue involving driveways being blocked. Witnesses said that Sukhdev Singh was attacked by a man wielding a brick.

Eight people were taken into custody on suspicion of various offences, including murder, but nothing more is known.

The people arrested were:

1. Man, aged 44, suspicion of murder.
2. Man, aged 32, suspicion of affray.
3. Man, aged 34, suspicion of affray.
4. Man, aged 37, suspicion of affray.
5. Woman, aged 36, suspicion of violent disorder.
6. Woman, aged 38, suspicion of violent disorder.
7. Woman, aged 41, suspicion of violent disorder.
8. Woman, aged between 36 and 41, suspicion of violent disorder.

Another man and a woman were medically assessed and treated for minor injuries.
