Leroy Mitchell was shot after leaving a silent disco in Croydon at about 5am on 2 October 2021.
The silent disco had been held at a small ground floor flat in Birdhurst Road, Croydon and Leroy Mitchell was shot in the carpark as he was leaving.
His post mortem examination gave his cause of death as being shotgun wounds to the head.
A 25-year-old man was arrested but later released.
Leroy Mitchell had been out with some friends in Croydon earlier in the evening to some bars and clubs after which he and a friend went on to a house party in Birdhurst Road. It had been a silent disco that was being attended by a number of local DJs and about 50 other people. Music was played at the event, but people were listening to it on headphones.
The police said that a number of people came forward with information about the party, but appealed for other people that had been there that had not come forward to do so.
CCTV was later released of Leroy Mitchell at one of the clubs he had earlier been to.
Leroy Mitchell had had three children and had been due to start work as a Royal Mail lorry driver.
