Ann Harold was murdered in September 1980. She had gone out on a shopping trip to Mexborough and was found dead in a ditch two weeks later.
She had been clubbed over the head and strangled. The murder was consistent with the murder of Marguerite Walls in August 1980 and an attack on another woman in September 1980.
She had been pregnant at the time.
Peter Sutcliffe the serial killer was later questioned regarding her murder.
