Cameron Devlin

Cameron Devlin was attacked in North Street, Brighton on 21 December 2019 and later died on 26 December 2019 at 6.15am.

He had been attacked shortly before 4am on Saturday 21 December 2019.

Following the attack he was admitted to Royal Sussex County Hospital but was discharged later that day. However, in the following days his condition deteriorated and he suffered a cardiac arrest at home on 26 December 2019 and was taken back to the Royal Sussex County Hospital where he died at 6.15am.

He died from multi-organ failure and sepsis and also had an injury to his right arm.

Five people were arrested in connection with his death, but nothing more is known.

At the inquest, the police said, ‘We have lots of lines of enquiry. A number of people have been arrested and further lines of enquiry are progressing to try to understand the full circumstances and facts’.

However, it was noted that it was not clear whether his death was brought about by the injuries he received a few days earlier.

Cameron Devlin had lived in Albany Villas, Hove.
