Ernest Watson was found dead on the M1 motorway near Luton on Friday 4 March 1960.
He had six knife wounds to the stomach and appeared to have also been run-over, but the police said that foul play was not suspected.
He had lived in Wimbourne Road, Luton and had been a labourer.
