Baby

The body of a newly-born male child was found wrapped up in a brown paper parcel on a train at Gidea Park Station, Romford.

The child was thought to have been about a day old.

The parcel was found under a carriage seat of a train in a siding at the station on the Friday night. The train had come from Liverpool Street and had stopped at all stations.

A post-mortem examination revealed that the child had died from exposure.
