The body of a newly born child was found on the ice-bound Cwmcelyn Feeder in Blaina.

It was found by a 17-year-old boy.

The inquest stated that the child had not been identified and that it was thought that it had had a separate existence, but that it was hard to say how long the child had lived.

The doctor said that owing to the condition of the body that its death could not be ascertained.
