A 10-month-old child died after being assaulted.
Her 23-years-old mother was tried for her manslaughter, but the court heard evidence that another man had done it and the prosecution intimated that they would not proceed with the murder charge as there was not sufficient evidence to substantiate it.
It had been claimed that she had hit the child in a fit of temper, punching him on the head, and had thrown her into her cot.
She was also acquitted of manslaughter.
