The body of a newly-born male child was found in a field off of Newtimber Lane in Newtimber.
It was found by a farm hand on the Friday morning, 30 September 1938.
It was naked and appeared to have been there for several days.
There were no signs of violence.
The Coroner said that he did not think that an inquest was necessary.
