The body of a male child was found in a stream near a railway embankment in Chard on 4 December 1935.
The pathologist that examined the body said that there were no marks of injury on the body and was of the opinion that it was the body of a fully developed child and that death had taken place 2-5 days before his examination. He said that the child had lived for between 5 minutes and 24 hours.
He said that the cause of death was asphyxia.
