Ellen Bilsborough was run over on the Blackpool to Preston road at Westby.
She was found injured along with her 17-year old daughter by a motorist and taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
Ellen Bilsborough had suffered from a fractured skull and ribs and later died on 29 December 1934.
Her daughter had some limb and neck injuries but survived.
They had lived at Tarnbrick Farm in Kirkham and had been returning home from a midnight Mass at a Roman Catholic Church.
It was said that the driver didn't stop.
