Thomas John Byrne

Thomas John Byrne was found dead in the water at Cardiff Docks.

He had lived on Burleigh Street in Shields with his wife. She had last seen him in Cardiff where she said good-bye to him before he left to sail on the steamer Newton Hall.

However, when she got home she got a wireless message from the Captain asking Thomas Byrne to join the vessel Rotterdam.

Then later she was notified that he had been found floating in the dock.
