The body of a newly-born male child was found on the Metropolitan Railway line in a tunnel on a fire.
It had been placed on the fire whilst alive and death was stated as being due to shock from burning.
The doctor that examined the child said that it had received no attention at birth and had been dead for two days by the time it was examined.
The police said that they had no clue as to the parentage.
The inquest at Marylebone on Monday 22 August 1904 returned a verdict of wilful murder against some person or persons unknown.
