Mashboor Hussain died after two men forced their way into his home at 103 Selkirk Road, Tooting.
Two men were charged with his murder and manslaughter but the charges against them were later dropped due to the lack of evidence. The Crown Prosecution Service said that there was insufficient evidence for a realistic prospect of conviction. The person charged with murder had been a 20-year-old whilst the youth charged with manslaughter had been a 19-years-old.
