Lea Florentina Brooke died in a fire at her home at Old Coach House, Sandal Grange Farm, in Wakefield.
Someone poured white spirit through the letterbox and set her house on fire in the early hours of 10 November 2008.
Police think that it was a case of mistaken identity. It was also thought that the murderer might have targeted her son who sometimes stayed there and who ran a construction company.
She had been a member of the Inner Wheel Club of Wakefield as well as the Ladies' Luncheon Club, The Flower Club, The Civic Society and St Peter and St Paul Catholic Church.
She had been born in Belgium but had lived in Wakefield for nearly 60 years.
