Michael Baxendale

Michael Baxendale was stabbed outside the Niche Night Club in Sidney Street, Sheffield on 12 October 1998.

He had managed the club and had been trying to break up some violence that had spilled out from the club into Sidney Street.

Two other bouncers were also stabbed.

Five people were arrested in relation to his murder during a dawn police raid at properties in Salford and Stretford. The operation was carried out jointly by Greater Manchester Police and South Yorkshire Police.

However, no one was convicted of his murder.

Michael Baxendale was described as a former Skegness man.

The Niche Night Club was demolished in 2016 and flats were built in its place.
